The Loopi Company is a family based company that grew out of the search and need for products that will reflect our way of living and our world views.
When our first baby daughter was born, we realized the need to carry her in close bodily contact during her first months of life, yet we didn't know if we would want to carry her that way down the road….
The Loopi Carrying System was born out of the basic need for a simple, minimal and easy to use carrier, made of high quality fabric and specially designed for new born babies and infants.
When our second daughter was born, we realized it would be practically impossible to continue to give our first daughter the attention she needs and at the same time carry our new born in close bodily contact.
Reality dictated the new demands set upon us and this is when we came to the conclusion that the best solution for carrying our baby daughter is to carry her on our backs.
The great importance and advantages of carrying babies is so dear and vital to us that we weren't going to give it up and so, we started the long process of "gestation" with an additional carrier.
During our research into traditional carrying systems from different cultures around the world we realized that carrying your baby on your back is the most popular way in most cultures where the baby is attached to the mother all day.
Physiologically, this is also the most logical way to carry your baby for extended periods of time without putting extra strain on the adult. The challenge set before us was to design a carrying system that will be user friendly and provide the best solution, taking into consideration the optimal body functions of the baby and the adult, the use of genial materials for specific needs, safety, accessories of the highest standards, and more.
During the testing phase, we created and researched different models of carriers that we thought would constitute the ideal one, while taking in feedback from different test groups and making modifications along the way.
And this is how YAMO Baby Carrier was born.
